David Kenik received his first 'permit to carry' at the age of 18 and has been an avid shooter for over twenty years. He is a certified NRA instructor and a regular handgun shooting competitor. His interests include not only handguns but shotguns and rifles as well.
David's 'professional' training began with his first of several courses at Lethal Force Institute and continued with instruction from other internationally recognized use-of-force programs in the judicious use of lethal force, firearms, defensive shooting, weapon disarming and retention, edged weapons, and defensive sprays. As a gun-rights advocate, David co-founded and is a Past Chairman of Citizens' Rights action League, a state-wide group that advocated the right to self defense and lobbied against gun control legislation in Rhode Island.
David is also the co-founder and Executive Director of the Police Officers Safety Association, Inc, a non-profit organization that offers enhanced training to law enforcement officers.
